CS2 Rush Hour Update Adds 3v3 Rush Mode and Changes Premier Map Picks
Rush Hour introduces a queued 3v3 mode, but the change I would prepare for first is Premier’s new map draw. Teams pick four maps and CS2 selects one, while silent reloads and silent sniper unscoping change what opponents can learn from sound.
How Does Rush Work in CS2?
Rush sends two teams of three through battle arenas toward the opponent’s castle. Valve selects the arenas at random for each match, so there's no guaranteed sequence to memorise.
Valve's Rush announcement video
Eliminating the enemy team does not finish a round by itself. After a wipe, or when time expires, your team must control the tower to win. With limited money and time, an opening kill creates an opportunity to take ground; it doesn't replace the objective.

A friends leaderboard tracks Rush wins. It gives regular groups a way to compare results, but the arena selection will matter more to me after a few queues. Different angles and routes would make each push worth figuring out again. Valve’s Rush Hour announcement explains the mode’s rules.
How Premier Map Selection Works Now
Premier no longer uses bans to narrow the pool to one map. Team 1 picks one, Team 2 picks two, and Team 1 picks the fourth. CS2 randomly selects one of those four for the match.
Premier map selection in CS2’s Rush Hour update
Your team gets two picks, but the draw can still land on either of the opponent’s choices. That makes a shallow map pool harder to work around: choosing your favourite no longer means you will play it.

The Scope.gg chart puts the change in context. Between July 6 and September 8, Mirage and Dust 2 accounted for 52.2% of Premier map selections and 52.1% of FACEIT selections. The other five maps shared the remaining half of matches.
Valve says the new Premier format gives players more chances to play maps they have been learning. It doesn't change how FACEIT selects maps. In Premier, though, teams can no longer veto every option until only one remains. With four maps in the draw, teams that prepare beyond Mirage and Dust 2 have a better chance to use that work. There's currently no indication that FACEIT plans to adopt the same format.

Silent Reloads, Sniper Audio, and Crosshair Changes
Silent reload in CS2’s Rush Hour update
Hold the reload key to reload silently. The animation takes much longer than a normal reload, so the decision is about time as much as sound. If an opponent can swing before you finish, the faster reload may be safer.
Silent sniper unscoping in CS2’s Rush Hour update
Unscoping a sniper rifle no longer makes a noise. An AWPer can leave the scope without announcing it, so hearing no unscope cue no longer means they stayed scoped. Valve didn't announce a change to the sound of scoping in.
New Crosshair Dynamic Quad style in CS2’s Rush Hour update
Crosshairs are now resolution independent. The new Crosshair/Scopes settings tab adds styles, and Dynamic Quad is the default because it shows weapon accuracy more clearly. It provides feedback, not an accuracy boost. To judge if it stays readable against moving players, try it in a short Deathmatch session on xplay.gg before changing your usual setup.
Other Rush Hour Changes
How to apply stickers to C4 in CS2’s Rush Hour update
Steam Community Group members can choose a Clan Tag in their Player Profile and display it beside their name. Players can also apply stickers to C4.

The Starjunk 95, Industrial Sunset Memories Music Kit is available through the Store in standard and StatTrak versions. Music volume can now be adjusted separately for each game mode.
Blood and bullet-impact visibility before and after CS2’s Rush Hour update
Valve improved the visibility of blood and bullet impacts. On Ancient, it fixed holes in Long A Main Hall and adjusted door geometry and grenade clipping in Jaguar. Cache received gap and clipping fixes near Mid’s blue doors; Mirage’s A-site balcony scaffolding was reinforced; and a pixel gap was blocked in Train’s A-site crates. These are location fixes, not a change to the Premier map pool. The full list is in Valve’s release notes.

Possible CS2 M14 leak: Data miner aqua found references to weapon_m14 in the update files. Valve has not announced the weapon or confirmed plans to release it. The file reference is newsworthy, but the M14 is not a playable addition to this patch.
