FAQ
Xplay.gg allows you to create matches with your own rules. To do this, select "Personal Matches" in the left menu of the site. Then create your match by clicking "Create Lobby". Before entering the lobby, you need to select the type (Open, Password, Invite), match preset, and server region. More detailed settings can be done later within the lobby itself
Some match formats can be selected right away when creating the lobby. For example, 5v5 Competitive for competitive 5x5 play, Wingman for 2x2, or 1v1 Aim Maps for 1x1. If you need another configuration, you can choose any preset and customize the lobby further on its page by selecting another mode in Settings - Main - Mode, or set the number of players using the -/+ buttons next to team names
To hold a tournament on xplay.gg, you need to configure the lobby for the required tournament format. In lobby settings - Maps, select the tournament series format (Bo1, Bo3, or Bo5), which determines the number of maps played consecutively. Maps can be selected in order, by classic or tournament veto (captain bans), or randomly from the chosen ones. Players can be assigned to teams automatically balanced by Faceit elo, or manually by team captains. Also, there is an option to check players’ readiness before match start automatically or manually from the "Lobby Actions" settings. You can invite players to the lobby using the "Invite Player" button, then select from those online on the site or share the lobby link with them
To play with friends on xplay.gg, create a lobby with the necessary settings and select the lobby access type (Password, Open, or Invite). Then invite friends using the "Invite Player" button and select them from the list of online players on the site or share the lobby link with them. You can quickly find a friend's lobby in the list by enabling the "Friends-only lobbies" option in the Ready Lobbies filter
Xplay.gg allows playing on custom servers with maps from the Steam Workshop. To install a map from the Workshop, in lobby settings go to the "Maps" section and choose the Steam Workshop option. In the opened window, you can paste a direct link to a Workshop map, its ID, or search maps from the full list. For playing on Workshop maps, it is recommended to enable "Allow quarries use" in the "Main" settings for correct functionality of some maps
By default, bots are absent in the lobby. To play with bots in Personal Matches on xplay.gg, you can select the "Bots" preset when creating the lobby or add bots manually in lobby settings - Lobby section - "Bots availability" toggle. Then choose bot difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, Cheaters). You can add or remove bots using the -/+ buttons in each team, and the slot will be automatically occupied by bots. Note that to start a lobby with bots, there must be at least one human player in each team
To play in one team in Personal Matches on xplay.gg, first invite players to your lobby. When they enter the lobby, they will automatically be in the spectators team. If "Free team choice" setting is active, players can join their desired team themselves. You can shuffle players randomly using the "Shuffle teams" option in "Lobby Actions" settings, shuffle evenly by Faceit rating ("Teams by rating" option), or select captains with the "Teammate selection" option (requires 4 or more players in the lobby). Spectators occupy server player slots if "Spectator mode" is enabled in "Main" settings
To play Retake in Personal Matches on xplay.gg, select the corresponding "Retake" preset when creating the lobby or change the mode to "Retake" in lobby settings - Main after creating any other preset. Also, you can adjust the chance of a certain round type (Eco, Force, Full Buy) by enabling "Custom round types" in "Main", and activate random player health values each round using "Random HP" option. After finishing settings, invite friends and start the match
Xplay.gg allows you to relive unforgettable moments from your matches again, thanks to automatic recording of matches and best moments! You can download the demo of a played match by clicking the "Download Demo" button in the Match Statistics section in the lobby, in a previously played match in the "Match History" section, or on the "Clips" page. To watch the replay (demo) of the match, you need to unpack the file from the archive, then place it in steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo. Then, open the console in the game menu and enter the command: playdemo (replay file name) without brackets. Note that the demo is stored for 30 days after the match ends, after which it is automatically deleted. Demo recording is not done if settings or modes marked with the corresponding message in the lobby are enabled.
To create a practice session with a friend on xplay.gg in Personal Matches, you need to create your own lobby, invite a friend using the "Invite Player" button, then make the necessary settings in the lobby, select the map, and start the match
Demos are not recorded in the following cases: if the match was not played to the end or was manually ended before completion; if mods were active; if one or more fan settings with the corresponding mark were active. After 30 days from the end of the match, demos are automatically deleted from servers
